At Ancora Café, our mission is to provide marketable skills and comprehensive community support services to individuals in recovery. Our goal is to transition participants out of the program and into independent living and employment, as well as work with alumni participants to positively engage in their community through extended community support.

Ancora provides quality training that will help program participants gain proficiency in barista skills, cooking, baking, maintaining a sanitary work environment, taking orders, customer service, and cash handling. Our menu includes a combination of house-made baked goods and thoughtfully sourced items, including our award-winning banana bread, specialty drinks, and coffee.

We established Ancora Transitional Services in 2017. The cafe and bakery works in cooperation with Perfectly Imperfect, an outpatient treatment center serving adults and adolescents experiencing challenges with substance use, mental health, and domestic abuse. After finding and renovating our building, Ancora Café opened on December 4, 2020.

Our facility includes two performance spaces and is operated by intensive outpatient program participants, peer support workers, and local community volunteers. Since opening, we have held several events featuring local musicians, spoken word poets, and pop-up vendors. In the past, Ancora has sponsored activities such as painting night, pottery night, and a self-care Sunday brunch.

Providing in-kind donations or otherwise sponsoring our participants allows you to make a difference in the life of someone making some brave choices. These individuals are processing their life experiences to grow, change, and make life-supporting decisions that benefit themselves and our community.
